"There’s something truly special about writing and sharing stories, losing yourself in a good book, and escaping into another world. So pour a glass of wine, get comfortable - it's lovely to have you here."

About Jill

Storyteller.
History Lover.
Author.

Jill has lived and breathed storytelling for years - from mentoring young writers, championing authors as a publisher, to crafting her own tales of romance, intrigue and adventure.

Originally from England and now calling New Zealand home, Jill’s passion for words has taken her from the BBC to the theatre stage, where two of her plays have been produced. She chaired the Manawatū Community Arts Council and has also written for a local newspaper.

With a BA in English and Media Studies, and a childhood spent in a Regency-era home in Brighton, Jill developed a deep and lasting connection to the Regency and Victorian periods. Her fascination with the Royal Pavilion and the ornate Victorian arcades sparked a lifelong love of history and learning - knowledge that continues to inspire her writing today. That early connection to history, and a curiosity about the stories behind places has also sparked her interest in New Zealand’s rich history.

When she’s not weaving tales of the past, you’ll find Jill lost in a book, exploring local history, or enjoying the quiet charms of country life.
